1901 / 33 AD

Vision Statement

Jesus said: "... and on this Rock, I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it" Matthew 16:18 NIV, "... to the ends of the earth" Acts 1:8.

Our existence is to be the agent of spiritual change by sharing the gospel to all lost and to establish the churches according in the New Testament pattern throughout the archipelago. We are to carry the task up to the ends of the earth.

Mission Statement

Jesus said, "For the Son of Man came to seek and what was lost." Luke 19:10 NIV, "...Therefore God and Make Disciples all Nation..." Matthew 28:18-20.

Members of the Churches of Christ is to present the salvation offered by our Lord Jesus to every individual who needs the assurance of their Salvation because "...all have sinned and short for the glory of God." Romans 3:23.

Our Slogans

  • Where the Bible Speak, we Speak; Where the Bible is Silent, we are Silent

  • In Doctrine Unity, Opinion Liberty, in all things Love

  • We are Christians only, but we are not the only Christians

  • No Creed, But Christ, No Name but the Divine Name

  • Back to the Bible, back to Jerusalem

Statement of Belief

This is not our Statement of Faith since we are non-denomination and a non-sectarian church, but we express our belief that:

  • The Bible is The Word of God. 2 Thessalonians 2:13, 1 Peter 1:23, 2 Timothy 3:15-16. It is divinely inspired, inerrant and infallible in its original writings. It is the final authority in faith and life (Joshua 1:18) and the final rule and practice in the Church (2 Peter 1:20-21, John 5:39).

  • There is One God. Genesis 1:1, John 1:1-3. God eternally exists in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 3:16-17, John 16). Nature itself declares the existence of God (Psalm 19:1, Romans 1:20, Acts 17:23).

  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God. John 1:34, Mark 1:1, Matthew 16:16, Galatians 4:4. We believe in His eternal Deity (Philippians 2:6, John 1:1,14, Hebrews 1:8), true and sinless humanity (1 Peter 2:22, 1 John 3:5), virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:20), substitutionary death (Matthew 20:28, Mark 10:45, 1 Timothy 2:16), and bodily resurrection (Acts 1:11).

  • The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit reveals God's redeeming purpose by convicting the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; by regenerating and uniting believers to Christ (Romans 8:13-17, John 14:26-27), and by indwelling, sanctifying, illuminating, and empowering all who place complete faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 2:10-16).

  • Creation of Man. God created man in His image, male and female (Genesis 1:27, 2:18-25). We uphold marriage as the union of male and female and believe in the depravity of man because of the fall (Genesis 3:10-24, James 1:14-15, Romans 3:10,23).

  • Salvation. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ apart from works (Ephesians 2:8-10). We uphold baptism by immersion as exemplified by Jesus (Matthew 3:14-17, Galatians 3:27, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:3-4, Colossians 2:12), transformed life in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17, Colossians 3:4-8), and spiritual unity of all redeemed by His blood (1 Corinthians 12:13, Ephesians 1:4-6, 4:11-15, 5:25-26).

  • Life After Earth. There is an eternal destiny after this life: everlasting life for the saved believer and eternal suffering for the unbeliever (John 5:24-30, Revelation 20:1-8, John 14:1-6).

  • The Church of Christ. The Church of Christ (Church of God) was established as God's agent of spiritual change for the world (Matthew 16:18, 28:18-20, Acts 1:8). We uphold purity of doctrine and life (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 1 Thessalonians 4:3). We are called Christians (Acts 11:26), disciples and followers of Christ. We are the Churches of Christ / Christian Churches in the Philippines.

  • Important Note. We belong to the group called the Restoration Movement which aims to restore New Testament Christianity.

In submission to the law of the land, we registered the name "Church of Christ in Las Pinas Inc." One of the local churches belongs to the Restoration Movement established in Las Pinas City, Philippines.

Note: Alexander Campbell wrote in his Millennial Harbinger (1835): "Co-operation among Christians in all the affairs of the common salvation is not only inscribed on every apostolic history but is itself of the very essence of the Christian institution."
